The
Practice
By
Jeff Rosenfeld, Founder
My
purpose and approach is unique. I
founded
my organization to develop a career counseling practice: to mentor,
empower and serve as a life-coach. My
counseling sessions involve a lot of
self-revelation. I try to be the catalyst to help individuals
think, create and shape ideas, discovering potential career paths. We
talk about work. We
also talk about life, interests, family, relationships; all the things
that could impact a
career decision for the future.
Along the way
we developed one of the most prestigious clienteles ever assembled in
the placement field within our areas of concentration. We created a
center of excellence and dedication to our work within the creative
world, and word spread. From there, we spoke with companies and
organizations that had particular appeal to our applicant base, beyond
the creative communities: non-profits, companies and organizations in
health, nutrition, lifestyle, education, the sciences, et al. We feel
we are in partnership with these companies and individuals in building
for the future.
Interview preparation
is vital and one
of our
greatest strengths Applicants
have sought us out just for this component of our expertise. We dissect
the entire process like a dress rehearsal I try to emphasize that an
interview is not
an interrogation. It
is a ‘meeting’ to
see if a deal can be struck between someone who brings their talents,
experiences and desire, and a company/organization that has a need for
what the
candidate may bring to the table. I find this approach relaxes people
and leads
to a more substantive dialogue when the ‘meeting’ takes place. We talk
about
potential questions and how to present the answers in a natural and
convincing
manner.
